Are you a busy creative type who tends to live with the motto “I’ve got so much to do, I’ll sleep when I’m dead?” Are you under the presumption that good health is something you don’t need to prioritize or tend to until something breaks down, or that your health habits now won’t inform the quality and longevity of your future life and accomplishments? Do you constantly put other’s needs before your own and as a result feel resentful, or that your body doesn’t look and feel the way you’d like, or just simply exhausted and out of touch with your emotions?
I used to hold deeply to a belief system that said my work, although incredibly meaningful, purposeful, and productive - was not possible without some element of suffering and personal sacrifice. I fueled myself with caffeine to stay up, alcohol to come down, sugar to pacify the longings, exercise as a form of punishment, and sporadic eating habits and diets to just KEEP UP. It was a pretty intense cycle where, on the outside I appeared highly functional, but on the inside I secretly felt like I was drowning. I began to define stomach aches, reflux, cravings, joint pain, isolation, anxiety, insomnia, weight fluctuations, hormonal imbalance and sensitivities as just what “normal” had to be to get the job done.
Until I had a wakeup call. Mine was an alarm – a car alarm to be exact, which went off after I fell asleep at the wheel from exhaustion while driving and crashed my car into a guard rail, totaling it and almost plunging it into an icy river below. The incident is still embarrassing to talk about it and relive (but a necessary part of my truth telling). I was lucky to walk away with minimal injuries and no other cars on the road for miles, but I was shaken and awakened. This lifestyle had to be changed. It was not sustainable. This was my wakeup call saying – Hey! This is your ONE PRECIOUS LIFE. And you deserve to take care of it.

Abundance is possible. Through health coaching I was able to overhaul my lifestyle and diet and get off medication, clean up my nutrition and food choices, stop craving sugar and alcohol, stop the obsessive loop of comparing myself to others for my sense of self-worth, obtain quality sleep and gain back/cultivate abundant energy coupled with a sense of calm. I am here to provide support, guidance and accessible tools to busy professionals, creatives, family leaders and students who also want to get control of their health –– by creatively examining and deconstructing cravings, limiting beliefs, diet and lifestyle; helping to harness subtle shifts and choices that make a profound difference and enhance performance. You will prove to yourself in the process that a commitment to good health doesn’t take time away from productivity, but on the contrary, maximizes your ability to go out into the world and do the work that you are meant to do, to tell the stories you are meant to tell, and to spread love and joy through truly authentic connections with others. And FEEL DAMN GOOD within your rockin’ skin while doing it.
